I threw this bottle on a potter's wheel. The true magic emerged during the glaze and firing process. I used wax resist to create areas of raw clay that would resist the glaze when applied. This created a beautifully textured surface.
Artist's Note
Wax resist lets the design emerge through the firing process, and I love the slightly unpredictable edges it creates.
