Eldrin of Mossy Libraries

Some books are far too magical to be left on ordinary shelves. Deep within the Mossy Libraries, Eldrin watches over stories whispered from one generation of monsters to the next. He is happiest when lost in a good book, especially one filled with strange creatures, forgotten places, and impossible adventures.

Artist’s Note

Each Floppy Ear Pottery monster begins as hand-rolled slabs of stoneware clay that is cut, shaped, textured, and assembled entirely by hand. I don't use molds, allowing the creature’s expression and personality to develop naturally I build it. Subtle variations in form, surface, and glaze are part of what makes this sculpture truly one of a kind.
