This Bloomlight begins as a wheel-thrown stoneware bottle before being carefully carved by hand. Bands of rhythmic markings wrap around the vessel, creating subtle texture that catches both light and shadow. Layers of soft green and deep blue glaze flow over the carved surface, settling into the details and creating natural variation that makes every piece one of a kind.

Artist's Note

I wanted this piece to celebrate the beauty of texture. The carved bands are simple on their own, but together they create movement that changes as light falls across the surface. Combined with flowing layers of glaze, the finished piece reminds me of weathered wood, gentle rain, and the quiet beauty found in nature.
