Zorbo of the Hidden Corners

This curious slab-built creature comes from the quiet nooks beneath old staircases, forgotten shelves, and tiny spaces where unusual things seem to gather. The monsters call them the Hidden Corners. Zorbo wanders among them. He wears a hexagonal mask to explore these hidden worlds.

Artist’s Note

Each Floppy Ear Pottery monster begins as hand-rolled slabs of stoneware clay that is cut, shaped, textured, and assembled entirely by hand. I don't use molds, allowing the creature’s expression and personality to develop naturally I build it. Subtle variations in form, surface, and glaze are part of what makes this sculpture truly one of a kind.
